Turkish "Yataghan" (aka Yatagan) Saber


Common early saber with re-curved or in-curved blade - weighted towards the business end. Commonly found in Turkey and other mid-Eastern, as well as near-Eastern countries down into Northern Africa.
Sometimes incorrectly identified as a "Shashqa."

This particular us unique in that its handle is fabricated from "walrus" ivory. Very elaborate engraved blade.
