The Reichs Labor Service (Reichsarbeitsdienst or RAD) was formed in the late 1920s and early 1930s by Konstantin Heirl; tghe main goal was the elimination of the mass unemployment present amongst the Germany youth. Every young German male was required to serve a period of six months, before joining the Army.
