This bayonet is an "ersatz" or replacement bayonet designed to fit various Austrian military rifles - namely the M1888, M1890, and M1895 Mannlicher series. These were low-budget replacements for bayonets lost or broken "in the field."
They are manufactured from stamped sheet steel and will fit the standard Austrian bayonet scabbard.
