Small Indo-Persian Battle Ax with ~4-7/8" x 3" axe-blade (appears to have a silver wash over designs) opposing an ~1" square elephant figurine. Pommel spike is ~2-7/8" in length. Believed to date from the late 18th or early 19th century. These are quite scarce.
This example - Overall length is ~23-3/4", from ball finial or butt to iron pommel spike tip. Shaft of handle is hollow and conceals a a four-sided "toothpick" style screw-in dagger inside. Overall length of dagger is ~16".
