Old blade believed to be at least 100-200 years old; engraving on near ricasso is a floral motif; maker-marked with a pattern very close to that used by the Wundes families of Solingen, Germany, although there are what also appears to be some Chinese characters (very unusual); perhaps from the period of the Boxer Rebellion since this is generally a European style.
Overall length in scabbard is ~35-3/4"; overall length out of scabbard is ~31-3/8"; blade length is ~26-3/4".
Condition is about fair due to the scabbard; it has several longitudinal cracks and the throat is missing (there is a hold in the scabbard wher the throat once was attached. Blade has scattered minor pitting overall.
