Italian Model 1891 Carcano Bayonet, no scabbard
$25.00
1891carcanord375

Wood grips; steel pommel and crossguard (stamped with what appears to be RD375).
NOTE: No scabbard.
Fair condition overall.

Prussian 1809 "Potsdam" Musket Bayonet, Aransas Pass Relic
$95.00
2POTSDAM1809APRB

Original Prussian Model 1809 "Potsdam" Musket Bayonet for the 1809 "Potsdam" Flintlock Musket .71 caliber and the 1809/1839 percussion conversion muskets. Prussia began large-scale conversion of the M1809 from flintlock to percussion circa 1839, becoming the M1809/39, but research indicates conversions may have started as early as 1831. The name "Potsdam" comes from the guns made at the Prussian Potsdam arsenal.
These weapons saw service during the Napoleonic Wars and many of these were acquired during the American Civil War and were used by both sides during that conflict; this would also be considered correct for revolutionary Texas. This bayonet was found in Aransas Pass, Texas where Confederates were garrisoned during the Civil War.
Overall length is ~22-3.8"; blade length is ~19".
Relic condition as it has obviously seen the salty climate of Aransas Pass.

Overall length in scabbard is ~13-1/4"; overall length out of scabbard is ~11"; blade length is ~6". Reddish-brown composition grip.
