Export Mauser Bayonet in the 1924 style, with Scabbard. Serial on pommel of bayonet and scabbard (not matching).
Believed to be one of the South American contract bayonets from Europe - perhaps Steyr, perhaps Mauser. Standard Mauser "T-O" slot, ~1" in length.
Overall length in scabbard is ~16"; overall length out of scabbard is ~15-1/4"; blade length is ~10".
These bayonets were used by Chile, Colombia, Mexico, and others.
Good condition bayonet and scabbard; blade still lightly covered in protective cosmolene coating.

French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet manufactured at the Imperial Arsenal of Chatellerault April 1867. Brass-hilted with a spring steel latching arrangement on the right side. The crossguard is iron (steel) and has a screw-type tightening arrangement on the muzzle-ring. The lower quillon is a hooked "blade-breaker" type. The blade is steel, single-edged, fullered (both sides), with a re-curved or "yataghan-shape", and is ~22-1/2" in length. Blades is maked in script on the back-edge (opposite the cutting edge) with the arsenal, month, and year of manufacture; this is done in engraved cursive fashion. Overall condition is about good with moderate pitting on the cross-guard. Blade is covered in dark oxide overall with scattered light pitting, but should clean up; some heavier pitting towards the tip. No scabbard with this bayonet.

Overall condition is about good with minor pitting on the last 2" of the tip. Blade is covered in dark oxide overall but should clean up; no heavy pitting. No scabbard with this bayonet.

Overall condition is about very-good. Scabbard has light scattered pitting with several small dings. Bayonet and scabbard serial numbers do not match.
French Model 1866 Chassepot Bayonet, No Scabbard, German Regimental Marks

French Model 1866 Chassepot yatagan sword bayonet, manufacture information removed. This example is German regimental-marked, "26.L.E.1.212" and has a modified muzzle tightening screw. These modified bayonets were either captured or war reparation bayonets utilized in the post-Franco-Prussian War era. Many of these were modified by the Germans for "home guards" and dispatched to other units, generally not front-line troops.

The lower quillon is a hooked "blade-breaker" type. The blade is steel, single-edged, fullered (both sides), with a re-curved or "yataghan-shape", and is ~22-1/4" in length. Blades is usually marked in script on the back-edge (opposite the cutting edge) with the arsenal, month, and year of manufacture; this is done in engraved cursive fashion; however, it has been removed or obscured on this example.
Overall condition is about good with minor pitting and dark oxide patina overall; tip is blunted; no heavy pitting. No scabbard with this bayonet.
