German Imperial Field Artillery Saber with Scabbard, circa 1896, Unit Marked

German Field Artillery Saber, standard dove-head pattern, P-guard, circa 1896. Overall length in scabbard is ~36"; overall length out of scabbard is ~34-3/4".
Heavy curved blade is ~29-3/4" in length; iron hilt with what appears to darkened cord-wrapped oil-cloth over wood (see images).
Blade is stamped on the back-edge with crown over "W" over "96" under small crown over "S". Several very minor edge nicks, blade has been sharpened, otherwise good condition. Maker stamped under langets, "ALEXANDER COPPEL / SOLINGEN".
Scabbard is sheet-rolled-steel with ~20 to 30% scattered blue remaining; single hanger ring style. A number of minor dings overall.
Unit marked on cross-guard to "20.A.3.20"; this is for the Imperial German 20th Field Artillery Regiment, 3rd Company, Weapon Issue 20.
