C.S. Shattuck 12 Gauge Single-shot Shotgun, Side-lever, used |
1CSSHATTUCK001
|

C.S. Shattuck of Hatfield, Massachussetts, manufactured between 1880 and 1920. Single-shot, 12 gauge,, top break, side-lever release; nickel plated receiver (about 60% remains). Unusual side-lever release - hammer must be in full cock position, side-lever is pressed down-ward (or lowered) with the thumb, barrel then breaks open from the top (as with other single-shot shotguns).
Good condition overall; good bore; stock is chipped (~1/4"x1") on both sides (left and right of the frame upper tang). Good butt-plate (reads, "SHATTUCK'S PERFECTION" (in a ribbon-like "S"); good pistol grip cap (reads, "C.S. SHATTUCK / HATFIELD.MASS."). Old repair on butt-stock comb upper (see images).
Used gun; sold as is; not sold as a shooter; no warranty implied or given. Please have any gun you intend to shoot - in any fashion - checked by a competent gunsmith. Must be shipped to a licensed firearms dealer or to a licensed Curio & Relic collector.
