William W. Marston & Knox six-shot Pepperbox Revolving Pistol, ~.31 caliber percussion ignition. Barrel length is ~3-1/4" (if barrel is mesaured including powder chamber at nipples ~4"); ribbed barrel. Top of hammer-bar is stamped, "W.W. MARSTON"; side of hammer-bar is stamped, "NEW YORK 1854" (barely visible). One barrel rib is stamped, "W.W. MARSTON & KNOX NEW YORK". Marston & Knox stamoings as well as ribbed barrels are not common on W.W. Marston pepperboxes.
Poor to fair condition overall. Grips may have been replaced or modified to allow for flat surface hand carving. Engraved frame and nipple shield (still visible, see images). Action does not work and I am quite certain this will need a competent gunsmith to make it work correctly (the internal workings on these are complex). Various minor stock dings, scratches, etc.

Used gun, sold as is; antique, not sold as a shooter; no warranty implied or given. Please have any gun you intend to shoot - in any fashion - checked by a competent gunsmith.
