French Model 1842/1853/1867 Snider Conversion, later modified to become a sporter for foraging/hunting (aka "ZULU" shotgun). These were generally French percussion muzzle-loading rifles from the 1840s, 1853s, and 1857s, converted to accept the Snider breech-loading system beginning 1867, allowing the acceptance of a cartridge (later a shot-shell usually in 10 or 12 gauge (this example unknown).
Lockplate is maker stamped, "LEMILLE & LIEGE". Barrel length is ~32" and stamped with Liege (Belgium) proofs; overall length is ~49-3/4". Various French inspection stamps on the breach-block.
Stock has been altered to sporting length as with many French guns in the post-Franco-Prussian War years (post-1870/1871). No provision for ramrod.
Various minor stock dings, scratches, small crack on left side opposite lock-plate (see images); nothing major other than the sporting alteration (except where noted).

Used gun; antique; not sold as a shooter; no warranty implied or given. Please have any gun you intend to shoot - in any fashion - checked by a competent gunsmith.
