Manhattan Fire Arms Manufacturing Company of New York (actually produced in Newark, New Jersey), .36 caliber, percussion ignition, 5-shot revolver, 4" barrel, with loading lever. These are considered by many as a secondary martial arm for the Civil War era, carried as a backup or conceal revolver by officers. A very close copy of the Colt 1849 Pocket Revolver but in larger caliber.
This is a late Series I type (between s/n 1000 and 4200) without 1859 Patent Date on the cylinder.
Good to Very Good condition example overall. Some evidence of silver plate remaining, some blue visible on loading lever and other recessed areas. Much of cylinder scene is visible. Gun indexes and cycles; nipples are not crushed. Numbers appear to match; bore condition unknown.
Used antique gun; no warranty implied or given, sold as is. Adult signature required at time of delivery. Can be shipped direct to most locations with few exceptions.
