"The bullova is the traditional fighting axe of the Chota Nagpur aboriginal tribes of central India." The blade is made of hand forged steel; the mounting socket on this example is also made of steel.
Recurved blade length is ~8-3/4"; shank of mounting socket extends outward from the wooden shaft/handle ~2-3/4" and appears to have been carved-down to a tapered blunt tip, socket fits securely and it appears that a metal bushing has been inserted between the socket and the shaft for tighter fit; overall length is ~33-1/2" from upper tip to bottom of shaft.
Good example in good condition overall.
