Japanese Army Officer's Parade Saber, circa WWI/WWII.
This model is very European in design and suggests a large degree of European influence in the Japanese military beginning in the late 1800s to World War II.
Brass hilt with silver family crest (mon) on hilt (see images). Nickel plated blade (~80% nickel-plate remaining); false temper line is clearly visible, good condition and un-sharpened.
Overall length in scabbard is ~35-1/2"; overall length out of scabbard is ~34"; blade length is ~29".
Scabbard has a little less than 85%+/- nickel plate remaining. Several dings/dents in scabbard.
Overall condition is about good to very good with the exception being the dings in the scabbard.
