Foot Artillery Short Sword of unknown origin, based on the neo-classical French Model 1831 Foot Artillery Short Sword (based on the Roman gladius). The United Sates of America patterned their US Model 1832 after this sword as did the Confederate States of America during the Civil War.
Solid brass hilt with what appears to be un-marked. Overall length is ~25-1/8""; blade length is ~19-1/8". Blade is un-marked.
Good condition overall.
NOTE: No scabbard.
