U.S. Model 1860 Staff & Field Officer's Sword, manufactured by Henry V. Allien, New York, circa 1870s-1880s.
Overall length in scabbard is ~37"; overall length out of scabbard is ~35-1/4"; blade length is ~29-1/4". Blade style is much like what is found on the Springfield manufactured swords: ~5/8" wide and ~3/16" thick at ricasso.
Typically etched blade with Eagle on one side, US on the other.
Very good condition overall with the exception of the scabbard (no nickel plate).
