Japanese Army Officer's Parade Saber, circa WWI/WWII.
This model is very European in design and suggests a large degree of European influence in the Japanese military beginning in the late 1800s to World War II.
Brass hilt with black grip. Nickel plated blade (~80% nickel-plate remaining).
Overall length in scabbard is ~37-1/2"; overall length out of scabbard is ~36"; blade length is ~31-1/8"; blade is very good and un-sharpened; 80%+ nickel plate remaining.
Scabbard has less than 20% nickel plate remaining. Several minor dents in scabbard; throat is missing (see images).
Overall condition is about good.
