The Talibon knife is the customary knife of the Christian tribes of the northern Philippines. The blade is characterized by its somewhat straight back and swell-belly-shaped cutting edge. Mother of pearl inlays on hitl and scabbard, right side only (see images).
Overall length in scabbard is ~15-5/8"; overall length out of scabbard is ~15-1/4"; blade length is ~11-1/4". Handle appears to be of carved dark wood.
Scabbard is also of carved dark wood.
Fair to good condition overall; Hilt is loose and easily removed, so it needs re-seating; may be missing a ferrule or guard. Longitudinal crack of ~3" in scabbard on "boot", left side.
