Unique three-bladed version of the Indo-Persian jambiya or khanjar dagger. These are very unusual as they have two side blades that spring open when the knife is drawn from the scabbard; there are five points on these knives, three on the main (center) blade and one each on the side blades. These blades are somewhat fexible and do not appear to have any real practical use (other than the initial "shock" upon seeing such a weapon spring open. It would be quite stratling. Sheet steel construction on hilt and scabbard, perhaps over wood.
Overall length in scabbard is ~19-3/4"; overall length out of scabbard is ~16-1/4"; center blade length is ~10-1/4" with outer blades ~9" (one is slightly shorter).
Condition is about good overall; tip of main blade appears to have been repaired or reinforced at some time.
