Original 1918 Texas Cavalry Congressional Medal in box with original yellow, green and white striped pinback ribbon and matching lapel or tie pin. These were issued to outstanding Texas National Guard Cavalry troops circa 1918. Obverse features a bluebonnet surrounded by the wording, "Awarded by Congress for Service in Texas Cavalry." Reverse features components of the Texas Seal - the five-pointed Lone Star of Texas flanked by one oak (to represent strength) and one olive branch wreath (to represent peace) and bears the words, "September 25 1918 / November 11 1918." Fine original condition overall.
