Belgian Model 1868 Engineer/Pioneer Sawback Bayonet with Scabbard for the Terssen Carbine. These were used by engineers, pioneers, and sappers & miners. Hard to find. Bayonet is dated 1882, scabbard is dated 1885.
Cast brass hilt with steel cross-guard.). Baronet is numbered, "V / 3312" and scabbard is numbered. "2600". Steel leaf-spring latching mechanism.
Overall length in scabbard is ~24-1/2"; overall length out of scabbard is ~23-7/8"; steel saw-back blade, length is ~19*1/8".
Scabbard is of black leather body with brass throat and drag.
Good to very-good condition overall.
