This model is very European in design and suggests a large degree of European influence in the Japanese military beginning in the late 1800s to World War II.
Brass hilt with black grip. Nickel plated blade.
Overall length in scabbard is ~35-1/2"; overall length out of scabbard is ~34"; blade length is ~29-1/8".
