"Colt Dragoon"
'Pistol' Powder Flask

Unique design displaying the Colt 1st Model Dragoon Pistol.

Top flask has a common top, adjustable 3-setting charger (3/8 to 5/8 drams); copper body with brass top; "blued" steel external spring. Stamped on top face is G. & J.W. HAWKSLEY.

Bottom flask has a common top, fixed charge; silver-plated copper body (~3-3/4" x ~2" x ~1") with silver-plated brass top (plating has mostly worn off on this example); "blued" steel external spring. Unmarked.

This type flask has been noted in early cased sets of Colt Pocket Model Revolvers, .31 caliber cap-and-ball.
