US Model 1860 Field and Staff Officer's Sword |
This sword is a giant move away from it's predecessor the Model 1850.
It is light and somewhat fragile in appearance. Although it was adopted
in 1860, it did not become standard until the early 1870's. |
I have various information on West Point Cadets - graduates and non-graduates - from 1802 to 1970. If there is a name on your sword - and that name is registered as a West Point Cadet - I can very likely supply basic information on that individual. I charge $5 to search, non-refundable. If a record is found, there will be an additional charge of $15 for that information; your total - if a record is found - would be $20 (including the initial $5 search fee). |
