US Model M7 Bayonet
for the M16/AR15 Rifle

This bayonet was designed to fit the US M16/AR15 Automatic Rifle in 1964 and has been used by the US Military - in variant forms - ever since that time. It is very similar to the US M4 Bayonet for the M1 Carbine, but has a much larger muzzle-ring.

Blade is unmarked, but underneath the cross-guard is US M7, along with a maker's name.
Black plastic grips, iron mounting (steel), with steel Parkerized blade.

Scabbard is the M8A1 type, olive-drab fiberglass body with steel throat and drag. Throat is stamped USM8A1 over maker.
