Uruguayan Model 1900
"Mauser" Cruciform Bayonet

This is a cruciform - 4-edged - converted for Uruguay from the French Model 1895 "Daudeteau" Bayonet blades - similar to the French Model 1886 "Lebel" Bayonet, while employing the guard design of the export mauser bayonets, as on the Argentine Modelo 1891 Bayonet.
Hilt/grip is of cast-brass, with hooked "blade-breaker" quillon, ball finial.
The scabbard is tubular in shape, with round ball finial (tip).
