German Model 1939/45 Nazi Police Bayonet (aka Nazi Polizei Seitengewehr)

These were privately purchased "dress" bayonets carried as a symbol of authority by the Nazi Police as a side-arm in lieu of a dagger.
All metal parts are plated, grips are true stag.
The hilts are steel construction, single rearward-swept lower quillon, bird's-head pommel; metal hilt components ornately decorated; Nazi eagle and swastika on the grips.
They can be found in a number of variations; some were never intended to be placed on a rifle as the slots were removed or deleted entirely from the process.

Scabbards are black-leather with plated steel throat and drag.
